PERSONALITY

My Song

This extra credit assignment, probably my favorite and easiest one, I find it to be much easier than picking my first memory. The song I choose to really relate to me and that screams out my personality is “Get ur Freak On” by Missy Elliot. I get the question all the time: "What is your favorite song?" and - like knowing my ABC’s - I answer it right away.

People who really know me can really tell you that this song fits perfect for me. My personality is corky, energetic, smiling and laughing all the time, never really in a bad mood and I'm always singing/dancing - even though many have said I am terrible at singing. I am that person where someone can tell - just by my face - if I am in a good mood or if there is something wrong.

For this summer coming up, I have been recruited to play for this collegiate baseball team - which is run like a minor league team, and we have the chance to get our own walk up song. The first song that came to my head was "Get ur Freak On". I did give it some thought on any other song I could choose, but my gut was telling me this song.

I am not one to only listen to rap, I love most genres but if a song is an upbeat, high energy song, you will most likely find me listening to it. In sum, “Get ur Freak On” describes one side of my taste in music, reflected on my personality and vice versa.

FIRST MEMORY

My first memory was when I was in second grade. I say this was my first memory because I remember it vividly. In this memory, there is the first baseball travel team I have ever played for.

This travel team was called Spirit, I was number 99, and we had a blue jersey. We stayed in Disney's ESPN Resort for about a week first and ended up staying an extra week with family and went to Disneyland, Sea World and a wedding.

I was a catcher at the time and played in 85 degree weather.
