FIRST MEMORY
PRESENTATION
A person’s taste in music can tell a lot about them. In fact, according to Psychological Science, “your taste in music could reveal insights into your personality.” Personally, I do not have a specific favorite genre of music. My taste in music is always changing and I can listen to and enjoy nearly all genres of music.
Although my music taste and favorite song is always changing, my favorite song at the moment is “Symphonies” by Dan Black featuring Kid Cudi. This song was released in 2009 and is in the genre of pop music. This song is very upbeat and has a happy tone.
I was introduced to this song by one of my best friends and since then, we would play this song whenever we were together, whether just hanging out or driving somewhere. Because of this, the song not only brings me joy because of the tone of the song, but also the memories that come from listening to it.
The happiness I feel when I listen to this song can show that my personality could be qualified as extroverted. This is shown through the energy of the song and how it reminds me of my friends, whom I am very close with.
FIRST MEMORY
My first memory took place when I was three years old outside in my front yard. I was running around, playing with my older sister, Janelle. I remember being in a pink, puffy coat, so I think it was late fall or winter.
From what I can recall, we were running to the mailbox and back to my house to give my mom the mail. Running around and being outside as a kid always made me happy and on this day, I remember laughing and seeing my mom with a big smile on her face as my sister and I ran back towards the house.
I’m not sure why this is my first memory, as it seems insignificant, but I think this might be my first memory because I have a good relationship with my family, and especially with my sister. Also, my home, which I have lived in all my life, is very important and meaningful to me.
A memory of having fun with my sister in front of my house speaks to who I am, as I am very close and care very deeply about my relationships with the people I love, especially my parents and my sister.
