PERSONALITY

The Music that Shapes Me

Music makes me feel alive, and every time I hear music I just want to dance. To me, music is like medicine, it cures all of my worries, stress, and sadness in life.

One thing particular about my personality is I love dancing. I enjoy dancing because it makes me feel energized, happy, stress-free. As a famous dancer, Agnes de Mille, quotes, “The truest expression of a people is in its dance and its music. Bodies never lie”.

Both music and dancing relate to each other, through dancing a person can show the true meaning of the song. I can sometimes relate when I dance and feel that with the music emotions start to rise up.

I love listening to different kinds of music genres such as K-Pop (Korean Pop Music) P-Pop (Philippine Pop Music), R&B, and pop music. Mostly, I listen to K-Pop music. However, there is one song that I always play. It's an R&B song by Avery Wilson called “If I Have To”

The song depicts a very strong and impactful message that reminds people to never give up on something or someone that they love and that nothing is impossible. In the song, there's a part of a verse that goes: “actions speak louder than words”. The phrase means that people, or we, need to take action rather than just uttering words, because if we only utter words then there is no progress. The phrase of the song relates to my personality trait of my love for dancing.

I should never give up something I love, especially when it helps me feel happy and alive. The meaning of the song does not only impact the way I love dancing, but also the way I see life. I always reflect with this song that “everything is possible once you put your mind into it.”

FIRST MEMORY
Our first memory will always have a significant impact in our lives. Whether it is our happiest or saddest moment, it reflects who we are as a human being as we grow up.

I remember my first memory was sitting in a baby chair drinking a Hershey's milkshake. It was my happiest and memorable moment in my life because it was my first time drinking chocolate milk. I liked the taste of the chocolate and milk mixed together.

Even though it is just a simple drink, the memories behind are still unforgettable. A simple memory does not mean it will always impact your life but the story and meaning behind will always bring lessons when growing up.
