FIRST MEMORY

     As a child, I really don’t remember any memories to write down. I’ve always heard stories about me, but that's pretty much it. However, one of my first ever memories I remember was ...

     watching the late great Kobe Bean Bryant. At the age of 5, I remember my mom enrolling me in street basketball league in Inwood, Manhattan. As time passed, I fell in love with the game, and while doing my research online I came across the best player at the moment which was Kobe Bryant. I remember watching the first championship games he participated in, which were in 2008. I was around the age of 7 or 8 and I remember having my mom play the games for me. He unfortunately lost that series to the Boston Celtics, but he went on to win the NBA championship the following years, in 2009 and in 2010. 

     As mentioned, I actually don’t remember clearly any memories of my younger days, but I do remember religiously watching all of Kobe’s games and highlights. I was a huge fan. It’s unfortunate he passed away, but he holds an important place in my life for being a great role model and idol for me as a kid and even till this day. Rest In Peace Kobe and Gigi.
